Minnesota Laws 1957. chapter 942, authorized "adjusted compensation" (bonus payments) to Minnesota residents who served honorably in the U.S. armed forces for 30 consecutive days between June 27. 1950 and July 27, 1953, or to their beneficiaries. The law appropriated $15 million for this purpose, to be administered by the commissioner of veterans affairs.
